ANNUAL POTLUCK PICNIC
Our Annual Potluck Picnic will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at: Keller Regional Park, Shelter #3, (lower). The shelter is just North of Roselawn off Hwy. #61. From Hwy. #36: Go South on #61 to the 3rd (last) driveway on the West side of the highway and left to shelter #3. Bring food to share, beverages and chairs. Charlotte will furnish compostable plates, cups, and utensils. Let’s try to make this a zero-waste event with everything compostable/recyclable or
reusable! Picnic begins @ 1:00 p.m., hike to follow at 2:30 p.m. Hike leader will be
Vicky Beutel. Everyone who signs in will be given 3 miles for the day. There will be two options for hiking: self-led leisurely stroll along Keller Lake board walk (flat, approx. 2 ¼ mi.) or follow Vicky for a hike around Phalen (approx. 4 ¼ miles) with hills. Questions? Contact Barb Fitzpatrick, 651-645-7149
WHEN WALKING OR ON HIKES
Share the path (or road)!!! When bicyclists, in line skater, joggers, walkers, etc. all share the same path, the general rule is the slowest person keeps to the right. This allows the skater(s) etc., to pass without causing alarm or hurting anyone. It’s an ounce of prevention worth hundreds of dollars of cure!
