WHEN WRITING UP A HIKE
The format for the Trailblazer is:
Day Date, person leading, phone number
Meeting place WITH address when possible. (Most ARE possible.)
The type of hike (residential, parks, trails, etc.
Directions, ONLY IF ABSOLUTELY necessary. (ex. A new place for the Club)
Treats: Where are they going to be?
If your hike is NOT in this format, they WILL be edited for space in the Trailblazer. Additions may be made on the website.
THINKING AHEAD-DECEMBER AND BEYOND
Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army. A little poll: Would Friday mornings in December work better for people? We may raise more money on (what should be) a busier day at Cub. The more people, the more shifts we can take for the Salvation Army. Otherwise, the same hours of 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. will be utilized.
The 100th year celebration the Club
Our President, Bob Tholkes is researching lots of things, most notably, to recreate the first hike taken by the Club on Jan. 16, 1921! He has found and contacted the granddaughter of Founder Grace Cummings Villars. She will try to send us pictures and any info she can find. There’s also a possibility of having a centennial party. It’s 15 months away!
