SUNDAY hikes start at 2:30 p.m., go approx. 5 miles and last approx. 1 ½ to 2 hours.

 

TUESDAY hikes start at 07:00 p.m., go approx. 3 miles, and last approx. 1 hour.

The SPHC walks at a moderate speed; 17-24 minute mile.

Hikers are expected to maintain that pace.

Hikes start on time.

Meeting Location: Meet at Spring Lake Park Archery Range, Fahey Ave. So.

Directions: Take Hwy 52 South towards Rosemount, take Hwy 55 and follow for 3 miles, Turn left (north) @ Fahey Ave. So. one mile to parking lot. 

Hike Description: We will hike paved trails.

Meeting Location:  Meet at Blaine Wetland Sanctuary, 11980 Lexington Ave N.E., Blaine. 

Directions: Go North on
Lexington to 125th Ave NE, make a U-turn at the stop light. Entrance will be .6 miles south of 125th on the right hand side.  

Hike Description: Flat trail. 

Treats: Vicky's car.

Meeting Location: Meet in front of the Subway restaurant at 1121 Silver Lake Rd NW in New Brighton.  

Directions: Exit 694 at Silver Lake Rd., then go north and turn right in to parking lot. 

Hike Description: The hike will go around Long and Pike Lakes and along the Rice Creek Trail on paved trails and streets.

Hike Description: We’ll hike paved paths & sidewalks.

Meeting Location: Meet at Loons Coffee, 4648 East Lake St, Minneapolis,  

Directions: on the north side of the east end of Lake St in Minneapolis, just before the bridge over the Mississippi. On-street parking is available on Lake and side streets, but look at the signs carefully. 

Hike Description:  Walk around the Franklin Ave and Lake St bridges loop plus a little in Minneapolis neighborhoods

Meeting Location: Meet at Reservoir Woods, 1901 Alta Vista Drive, Roseville, MN 55113

Directions: Alta Vista Drive connects with Dale St. 100 feet north of Larpenteur Ave. There's a small parking lot, but parking is allowed on the street.

Hike Description: We'll hike mostly dirt trails

Meeting Location: Meet at Sunfish Lake Park/Sally Manzara Nature Center, 3554 Kelvin Ave N, Lake Elmo

Directions: Take Stillwater Blvd. N to Stillwater Ln N, go 100 yards, turn left into the park. (about 2.5 miles E of 694 on Hwy 14, east of the roundabout). Watch for signs, entrance is W of Common Ground Church.

Hike Description: There are lots of steep hills on unpaved rustic trails. Note: The 5 mile hike will go past 4:30.

Meeting Location: Meet in front of my house, 1013 London Rd., Mendota Heights.

Directions: From 35E go East on Hwy 13 to London Rd

Hike Description: This is the Tour de Seven Cul-de-Sacs with Pretty Gardens. 

Treats: Snacks and lemonade on the backyard deck afterwards.
